AYE, the trading arm of the Ystradgynlais Volunteer Centre, is now fully open for business down the old Remploy factory in Wind Road, Glanrhyd. Open to the public from 9 til 1pm, the Woodstore is fully setup on the premises, whilst the Toolstore will complete its move over the next few weeks.
Members of the public are welcome to call in. From the main gate take a right across the carpark, and down the right-hand side of the building to the second door where a large circular sign welcomes you.
The Ystrad Woodstore is now fully moved in and set up for customers at the old Remploy factory on Wind Road, Glanrhyd.
The Ystrad Woodstore is no longer to be found down the industrial units on the Trawsffordd estate. From the beginning of April, it has moved all of its operations to the old Remploy Factory in Wind Road, Glanrhyd, just opposite from Lyte Ladders.
At the moment there is no direct phone line, as the mobile for the Woodstore is receiving no signal in this new location. Any contact for the Woodstore needs to go via the Volunteer Centre – please ring 01639 849192.
Bringing the old Remploy factory up to scratch is a major undertaking, refitting the electrics, erecting partitions, resurrecting the toilets, and laying new carpets – and much more. The Wood Store has begun to move its operations and stock across, and hopes to open there to the public after the first week in early April.
